Welcome

Eir Counseling works with teens and young adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or disconnected from themselves after difficult experiences. Healing here is not about forcing change or pushing insight. It is about understanding how your nervous system learned to adapt and what it needs in order to feel safer now. Sessions move slowly and intentionally, with care for what your system can hold. You are supported as you are, at your own pace.

About Me

I’m Ali Williams, a therapist who takes a mindfulness-informed, relational approach to care. I was born and raised in Montana’s Flathead Valley, and my work is grounded in a deep respect for steadiness, resilience, and the connection between body and mind.

I’m passionate about supporting people in healing both physically and emotionally, knowing that insight alone rarely creates lasting change. In therapy, I prioritize safety, attunement, and slowing down enough to listen to what the nervous system has learned through experience. My goal is to offer a space where healing can unfold gently, honestly, and at a pace that feels supportive.

About the Practice

Eir Counseling is a therapy practice rooted in steadiness, care, and respect for the full complexity of being human. This is a space where healing is not rushed, performed, or forced—but allowed to unfold through presence, honesty, and a relationship built on safety and trust.

Named after Eir, a Norse figure associated with healing and care, the practice reflects a belief that meaningful change happens when people feel met as they are. At Eir Counseling, the work is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about creating room for what has been carried—thoughts, emotions, experiences, and questions that deserve time and compassion.

Eir Counseling works primarily with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, emotional overwhelm, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences. Sessions move at a pace that honors the nervous system and the individual, recognizing that growth can be quiet, nonlinear, and deeply personal.

This is a place for steadiness over urgency, presence over pressure, and care that is consistent and trustworthy. A place to land, to feel understood, and to do meaningful work over time—without needing to be anyone other than who you are.

Services

Sessions are calm, collaborative, and paced with care. There is no pressure to perform, explain things perfectly, or make progress on a timeline. We focus on building a sense of safety first—listening closely, moving gently, and paying attention to what feels supportive in the moment.

Some sessions may involve reflection and insight, others may be about slowing down, regulating emotions, or simply being heard. All of it is valid. The work is shaped by your needs, your nervous system, and your lived experience, with the goal of helping you feel more grounded, understood, and whole over time.

Modalities I commonly draw from include:

    • Attachment-based therapy

    • Trauma-informed care

    • Somatic Experiencing (SE)

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

    • Mindfulness-based practices

These approaches are used flexibly and collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on pacing, attunement, and respect for lived experience. The goal is not to “apply techniques,” but to support steady, sustainable change in a way that feels safe and grounded.
